Buying & Downloads
No. METASHAPES offers individual model purchases — you pay only for what you need, with no recurring fees or platform subscriptions.
Most models are available in GLB and STL formats. Unless otherwise specified on the product page, both formats are included with every license.
For commercial and exclusive licenses, we offer additional formats such as 3MF, BLEND, FBX, OBJ, USDZ and others upon request. Please contact us before purchasing.

After completing your purchase, your download links are immediately available in your account under My Downloads. You will also receive a confirmation email with your download links.
You can download/re-download your purchased files up to 3x at any time from your account. Each time you click the link, it remains valid for about an hour and allows for one single download, which starts immediately.
Each model is therefore limited to a maximum of three downloads per purchase in every available format (usually GLB and STL). The counter in the download section shows you how many times you have already downloaded the model and how many times you can still download it.
We therefore recommend that you save the model securely on your computer to ensure long-term availability.
Exception: If someone purchases the exclusive licensing rights to a model, future downloads of that model may be disabled. However, you may continue to use the model under the license you have purchased.
Yes up to three times. All purchased models are usually permanently accessible in your MetaShapes account. Log in at any time to download them again. But we recommend that you save the model securely on your computer.

Due to the digital nature of 3D model files, we do not offer refunds once a file has been downloaded. If you experience a technical issue with a file (e.g., a damaged file format or download), please contact us and we will do our best to resolve it.
Please note that this does not affect the quality of the model or its printability. All models are offered “as is,” with no guarantee that they are perfect or 3D-printable. They are sold as shown in the product renderings (product/model images).
Licensing
Personal Use is for non-commercial, private projects. Commercial Use covers most professional and business applications. Resell Rights allow you to include the model in products you sell. Exclusive License gives you sole rights to the asset. See our full License Overview page for details.
It depends on whether your channel is monetized. If your video is monetized (ads, brand deals, etc.), you need a Commercial Use license. Non-monetized personal videos are covered by the Personal Use license.
It depends on the original model’s license. For most models currently available on METASHAPES, no mention is necessary.
If this is the case, it will be clearly indicated on the product pages. For example, this applies to models licensed under CC BY. CC BY (Attribution) require you to credit the original creator as specified on the product page.
Yes. All license types permit modification of the model for your own use within the scope of the license. You may not, however, redistribute a modified version of the raw model file under any standard license (except where Resell Rights specifically permit it in product form).
Technical Questions
GLB files are compatible with Blender, Unity, Unreal Engine, Three.js, Babylon.js, Adobe Dimension, Cinema 4D (with plugin), and most modern 3D applications. STL files are compatible with all 3D printing slicer software.
That depends on the model and can be found on the model’s page under “Specifications.” Most of our models include PBR (Physically Based Rendering) textures — color/diffuse, normal, roughness, and metallic maps — embedded in the GLB file.
Polygon counts vary by model and are listed in the technical specifications on each product page. We carry models ranging from low-poly to high-detail.
Most of the models currently available were not specifically designed or optimized for 3D printing. However, we generally make all models available for download in STL format, which is better suited for 3D printing processes. This does not mean, however, that they are print-ready or print well.
In the future, we will label models that have been created or optimized for 3D printing as such.

Yes, a free METASHAPES account is required to purchase and access your downloads. Registration takes usually place at the time of the first purchase.
